Thought I’d start the summer month of August off with a colourful post. Early yesterday evening a friend phoned to say that he’d been given the whereabouts of a field full of sunflowers. About 30 mins later I was on my way. Got there about quarter to seven, and as it was on the South Downs in an east facing valley meant that there were only going to be about an hours max shooting time.

A sea of backlit sunflowers.

The dazzling glow was fantastic.

A bee paradise.

I hear that this field was a mass of poppies a while back, shame I missed them.

Not the best of sunsets, nor backgrounds!
